In the period 2020-2021 Billund Builds has for the sixth time put focus on co-creation with children and the experimenting, creative, and playful approach to learning. The theme for this period’s Billund Builds was “The Global Goals of the UN – Children create the world” and acted as a natural continuation of the theme from 2020 “Creating World Citizens”. Schools and day-care institutions in Billund Municipality have been able to customise and plan their own contribution to the overall theme.

The evaluation report contains general points and patterns from Billund Builds “The Global Goals of the UN – Children create the world”. The purpose of the report is to convey the points and patterns discovered in this year’s theme. The primary focal points in the evaluation are the following:

  • How the children have tackled The Global Goals of the UN
  • How the competence boost has functioned
  • Inclusion of the children’s perspectives
  • What did the children get out of it and indicators of co-creation?
  • Inclusion of parents in the process
